Episode #2 and I think we have improved audio quality so much that we kept talking just to hear it!

Crumbs from the Web:

Geek Media:

  • Wil Wheaton is guest staring on The Big Bang Theory. The episode aired on October 19, 2009.

Firefox Extension:

  • IETab is a great extension that embeds Internet Explorer in Firefox. Instead of having to open a separate browser to view IE specific sites you can switch between Firefox and IE on the fly. You can also set a list of sites to always open in Internet Explorer

Website / Software Pick:

  • Portableapps.com is really not a website but a software platform that let’s you bring your software with you. There are many apps available now and more being developed all the time and they just recently started allowing free software as well as the GPL software they’ve always had.

Tech Definition:

  • SCSI – Small Computer Systems Interface.

We’re Now On iTunes – OOooo, Exciting :)

We have now submitted and been accepted to iTunes with only one podcast created. This is pretty exciting but I think we need to work on episode number two. If you use iTunes as your manager, then you can search for us using “Everyday Geek”.

Next is Zune and then who knows after that.

Suggestions?

Geek on!

Website Pick:

Tech Definition:

  • ISA (Industry Standard Architecture) – Before there was AGP, PCI-E, PCI and even VLB … there was ISA. A computer bus originally designed by IBM in 1981 for the original IBM XT. It was originally 8-bit with a 16-bit version coming later and operating at 8Mhz. Later ISA Plug’n'Play was introducted and normally plagued with many issues which sometimes made the expansion cards harder to configure than the non-PnP. Now the ISA bus has been replaced buy newer and faster technologies (PCI, AGP …) but could still be found on motherboards until recently.
